Biography
Soprano

Born in Surrey, Emily studied at the Royal Academy of Music, first achieving an MA with distinction and most recently a DipRAM from the prestigious Royal Academy Opera, where she learned with Elizabeth Ritchie.

Opera roles include Adele DIE FLEDERMAUS for Iford Arts at Bath Festival, Emmie ALBERT HERRING and Maria Bertram MANSFIELD PARK for The Grange Festival, the world premiere of Liam Patterson’s THE EIGHTH DOOR for Scottish Opera, Euridice in Opera Danube’s production of ORPHEUS IN THE UNDERWORLD at St. John’s, Smith Square, Sylvie in LA COLOMBE for West Green Opera, Strawberry Seller DEATH IN VENICE for Garsington Opera under Steuart Bedford, Anne Trulove THE RAKE’s PROGRESS, La Fée CENDRILLON, Lucia THE RAPE OF LUCRECIA, Suor Genovieffa SUOR ANGELICA for Royal Academy Opera, Fido PAUL BUNYAN for British Youth Opera, Soprano INTO THE LITTLE HILL for Shadwell Opera, Barbarina and Susanna LE NOZZE DI FIGARO for Amersham Festival Opera and University of Bristol, Miles TURN OF THE SCREW with Gergely Kaposi in Budapest with the covers of Jano JENUFA and Miss Schlessen SATYAGRAHA for English National Opera

A regular performer in concert, Emily was a soloist for the flagship Royal Academy of Music/Kohn Foundation Bach Cantata series. Recent highlights also include Mozart’s REQUIEM at the Royal Albert Hall with the English Festival Orchestra, Bach’s CHRISTMAS ORATORIO in Kristiansand, Norway, arias with Laurence Cummings for the London Handel Festival and a staged version of Handel’s MESSIAH on a tour of the UK with Merry Opera Company.
